First Drum Films was founded to fund and premiere The Last Poets, and relaunched in 2017 to produce new work.

An indie comedy feature that screened at the Baltimore Underground Film Festival and was distributed by Pathfinder Home Entertainment.
2003DocumentaryThe Last Poets
Premiered at MIPCOM in Cannes in 2002, aired on Bravo TV in the U.S. from 2003 to 2006, and was licensed internationally.

Filmed in 2017; production paused after the rider-director was seriously injured, and resumed in 2019. A companion web series is in development.
